Ursula Leach RE

Ursula Leach trainied in Winchester, Wimbledon and West Surrey
(Farnham) Schools of Art. She shows mainly in London and the South of England and is an elected fellow of The Royal Society of Painter Printmakers.
She has been selected and shown in the Hunting Art Prizes at the Royal College of Art, London on three occasions and has won several prizes, most recently The Curwen Print Studio Prize at the Bankside Gallery, London.

Ursula's paintings and prints respond to the chalk landscape of Cranborne Chase. It is an area of intensive agriculture and the work is, to some extent, about current farming practices, but firstly is about the formal issues of image making, colour becoming increasingly important as an expression of mood and atmosphere. As global warming takes effect there are dramatic and beautiful changes of colour in the fields.
